It's being reported as one of the hottest wedding dates ever July 7th, 2007.
As you can imagine, brides and grooms all over the nation are rushing to book this date, some even before they're engaged. One East Texas couple's luck began just a few months ago.
"The first girl that was interested in that date basically booked while we were under construction. So she booked, she gave me a deposit and told me she still wasn't engaged," said Rhonda James Wedding Coordinator for The Villa in Tyler.
No ring, no man but a lucky wedding date.... July 7th, 2007
"I mean I had people calling me constantly asking if that date was available," said Rhonda.
One of those callers Brooke Booth and Jeremy Wilder of East Texas lucked out when the girl canceled. That opened up the coveted date.
"Originally we planned on getting married April 7th. And we had booked a place and it didn't work out," said bride-to-be Brooke.
"We looked at a calendar and said does 7/7/7 fall on a Saturday? Because yeah know a lucky date. Maybe we can get this date?" said groom-to-be Jeremy. "It just so happened that everything worked out we got the date and it will be a day we won't forget."
Florists, photographers, and caterers across the country have been bombarded with calls for July 7, 2007.
But not for Brooke and Jeremy, "Everything has been wonderful. No problems with florists, the cakes," said Jeremy.
"We're going to have fireworks at the end," said Brooke. A magical ending to their 7/7/07 wedding at 7 p.m.
Although eight isn't a lucky number other future brides are already calling about August 8th, 2008 which falls on a Friday.
