It's not your typical vehicle. This truck takes special care, for when it comes to saving lives there is no room for error. That's why one East Texan opened what he calls, a car doctor. Eric Maloy of Hawkins has been working on ambulances for nearly 30 years. Today, he opened a repair shop where he will specialize in fleet vehicle maintenance. Eric's been selected by the American Ambulance Association as having the finest preventive maintenance program in the nation.
"I love riding a motorcycle, and I love working and having the weekend off, but what I mostly love is when I'm off and driving down the highway and I see one of my children, and I look at the lights, and I can tell by listening to them (ambulance) if it's running good. I just have a thing for people's life you know." Eric says he also hopes to provide maintenance service on the Wood County deputy cars.
