"I Felt Mistreated." Accused Gunman Tells Cameras Before Going To Jail

Tonight, the man accused of killing 2 Henderson County Sheriff's Deputies and wounding another is out of the hospital and in jail. 47-year old Randall Mays was booked into the Smith County Jail on one charge of capital murder in the death of Henderson County Deputy Tony Ogburn during a domestic dispute in Payne Springs.

Deputy Paul Habelt was also killed in that shooting and Deputy Kevin Harris was wounded.

When Mays was asked if he committed the crime, he told reporters, "To be honest, yes, I did." When asked why, Mays responded, " I felt like I was being mistreated."

Mays will be held in the Smith County Jail. There's no word yet on when additional charges will be filed against him. His bail has been set at $2 million.
