Whether it is the home field advantage or the support of hundreds of fans in the stands, the TJC Apaches are looking like a national champion in the NJCAA Division III World Series.

After a shutout win Saturday, the Apaches went for another big win in their second game facing the Massasoit Warriors.

In the top of the first inning, with runners on base Brock Lemire got the ball  to fall in left center. His base hit brought home Clint Stroud to make it 1-0 Apaches.

Still in the first inning after the pass ball, the Warriors Matt Hart tried to advance but Apache catcher Kevin Els threw him out.

In the third inning, designated hitter Jordan Rutenbar picked up an RBI single. Billy Donaho would score.

The Apaches score double digits, winning 11-1.

The Apaches will play Monday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at Mike Carter Field.
