The reason we have a problem with illegal immigration is because there are a lot of people who want to live in this country. That's not going to change.
Most Americans agree, especially Texans, if we're going to solve this problem the borders must first be secured.
Admittedly it's a huge undertaking but failing to do it will result in a permanent problem. After that the long term solution must find a way to encourage immigrants to become officially registered.
They will remain in hiding if they fear being deported. If they have a job and an employer will vouch for them I say let them stay as long as they keep a job, pay taxes and remain registered.
Or even better let them go through the citizenship application process.
After that, if they're convicted of a crime or fail to maintain proper registration then they need to be deported.
Residency in this country should not be based on your ability to evade the law or bear children.
Thankyou for your consistent, "strait as an arrow,"and right on target comments!
I always enjoy what you have to say. Thanks for being there to say it!
Always my best,

I am getting very tired of your so-called commentaries on current topics....you are obviously a conservative Republican spewing your biased opinions on air, which is unfair to other people who may disagree with your views.
I am also complaining to ABC News directly about you.
Please desist your so=called commentaries.~Larry Sloan
