Three Fatal Crashes Kills Three

For the second time in a week, a Whitehouse teenager died in a car crash.  This crash happened early Saturday morning on FM 756, just south of Tyler.  DPS troopers say the teenager took a curve too fast and ended up hitting a tree.  Sunday afternoon, friends of Trey Bernholtz, 19, placed a cross at the scene of the accident.  They say Trey had just finished welding school and was working for his father.  Friends also say they will miss Trey's fun living spirit the most.

"Trey was the nicest guy in the world," said Trey's friend Brandon Jackson. "He would do anything for anybody as best as he could.  He was there when we needed him. You know, give Trey a call and he was there."   Trey was a 2006 graduate of Whitehouse High School.

There was another fatal crash yesterday morning.  This one took place in Harrison County.   The Department of Public Safety says the driver, traveling East on Birmingham Rd. near Marshall, also took a curve too fast and ended up flipping the car on the driver's side.   The driver has been identified as Frankie Boyd, 27, of Marshall.

Then in Panola County another crash takes the life of a Louisiana man.  DPS says the man traveling on Highway 43 near Tatum, failed to stay in his lane and struck a culvert and then rolled.   DPS also says the driver who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected from his truck. He's been identified as Joseph Smith, 22, of Louisiana.
