East Texas Cinco De Mayo Celebration

It was the 20th anniversary of East Texas's very own Cinco De Mayo celebration Sunday.  The event celebrating the Hispanic culture was full of music, food, dancing, and various vendors.

Organizers told KLTV the event is a way to give information to the Hispanic community.

"It's a way we can give back to the community and let the other people that want to get in touch with the Hispanic community," said Hispanic American Association of East Texas President Angela Correra.  "The celebration Cinco de Mayo is actually the Battle of Pueblo. Again it's just a way for them to come out and celebrate Cinco De Mayo."

"It's really nice. It gets us out and gets to see people and be outdoors as well," said Diana Thorne.
