Continuous Bible Reading Begins In Pittsburg

A week-long tribute to the world's oldest book is underway in Pittsburg.  Bible Reading Marathon 2007 began earlier tonight at the prayer tower in downtown Pittsburg.  The bible will be read cover-to-cover 24 hours a day, for seven days until completion next Sunday morning. The reading will be held in different languages. The event leads up to next week's national day of prayer, signed into law by president Harry Truman in 1952.  Dozens of churches and hundreds of readers are participating in the reading.
