Mental Health Expo In Longview

Physical and mental health was the focus of an annual expo in Longview today.  The Mental Health Expo drew hundreds of people to the Longview Fairgrounds Exposition Center.  Visitors got information on problems such as depression and anxiety, and how many forms of mental illness are treatable. The expo is particularly timely in the wake of the Virginia Tech tragedy.

"Mental health its a really big thing, especially with what happened at Virginia Tech.  We get a lot of kids in there and we deal with bullying issues and kids being made fun of, things like that. It's just like Columbine and other high schools.  It's very important what we do," said Joe Cassell of the Longview Wellness center.

If you'd like to know more about mental illness and its treatments, you can call the Longview Wellness Center on Marshall Avenue.
