Winter-Like Severe Weather Makes It Miserable For Millions Along East Coast

Winter-like severe weather is making life miserable for millions along the East Coast. In New York, Boston and Philadelphia hundreds of flights have been canceled. Kyung lah is in Hyannis, Massachusetts with more on this hard-blowing nor'easter.

High winds and heavy rains pounded the New England coast.

Flood warnings are up because of very high tides and vacationers on Cape Cod
for spring break cleared out.

In West Virginia rescuers pulled dozens of people from homes and cars after
the rain flooded areas of wyoming county.

In New Jersey and New York reports of problems from flooded subway stops to
power outages.

More than five and a half inches of rain fell in the New York area Sunday, smashing a record set in 1906. The rains have been pretty much what had been forecast, and fortunately the winds have been lighter than what was forecast.

Airline passengers faced hours of delays and hundreds of flights were canceled. 
 
Despite the weather... Vows that today's boston marathon would be run.

Forecasts here in Boston are calling for three-to-five inches of rain, and wind
gusts up to 25 miles per hour blowing blowing in the runner's faces.
