East Texan On Toyota Texas Bass Classic Winning Team

 For two days at the Toyota Texas Bass Classic  on Lake Fork there appeared to be a clear cut winner, having already pulled in more than 100 pounds of fish.

But on the third and final day, the total jumped to up over 200 pounds and another team was crowned champion.  

Terry Scroggins, Frank Ippoliti, Chris Daves and James Niggemeyer of Van were the winners of the inaugural Toyota Texas Bass Classic.

The team brought in over 235 pounds of fish.

Alton Jones of Waco and his team led the tournament for a day and a half, but fell to second place.

East Texan James Niggemeyer talked about winning it all.

"This is just incredible," he said. "I mean to be a part of this team, to have these guys, all of us working together, to be a local guy coming into this and the local area, this is a dream come true."

Third place went to David Walker of Tennessee and his team and fourth place went to Chad Morgenthaler of Illinois and his team.

The other big winner, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Inland Fisheries Division who received a $250,000 dollar donation.
