An ex-prosecutor for Brown and Mills counties who was charged with molesting a child in Williamson County -- has died.
Authorities are reviewing whether 40-year-old Sky Sudderth of Comanche overdosed on over-the-counter medication.
An autopsy will be done.
The Abilene Reporter-News reports Comanche police were summoned Monday after Sudderth allegedly overdosed.
He was taken to Comanche Community Hospital, then to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where he died Tuesday.
It was the same day a hearing was scheduled in Williamson County to set his trial date.
Sudderth was accused of assaulting a seven-year-old girl last June in Leander.
He was indicted on nine counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
Williamson County District Attorney John Bradley says DNA results made the case against Sudderth "bulletproof."
