Proud Of East Texas : Zeke & Mart

Zeke and Marty Zewick, who described themselves as "two little hippies", moved to Edom in 1976.  The establishment of an art colony in the little farming community was a move that many domed to failure.  And yet, 31 years later the art colony and the town are booming.

Although for many years the couple worked in leather, their prize winning jewelry creations  show the same style and creativity they've always been known for.  Zeke and Marty work in sterling silver and combine the metal with precious and semi-precious stones, as well as common items such as shells, bone and rusted washers. They sell their hand crafted jewelry at art fairs across the country, in galleries, and at their shop on Edom's main street.
