Smith County officials are looking for a carjacker they say attacked an acquaintance early Friday morning. Sheriff's deputies say the victim picked up the robber while driving to work. When the pair got to the intersection of Highway 271 and I-20, deputies say the robber started chocking the victim, kicked him out of the car and took off.
The man is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, between 5'8 and 5'11, weighing between 150 lbs. and 180 lbs. He has black hair, brown eyes, and may go by the name Vicente. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and boots.
The stolen car is a black, 1998 Chrysler Sebring, with license plate G01GPM. Call the Smith County Sheriff's Department with any information.
