County's K-9 Sniffs Out A Million Dollars Worth Of Cocaine

A million dollars worth of cocaine now off the streets, thanks to one county's drug-sniffing canine.   Monday a Gregg County Sheriff's Deputy made a routine traffic stop along the intersection of I-20 and Estes Parkway.  In the trunk of that rental car, they found a bag stuffed with five kilos of cocaine.   The department's narcotics detection dog "Luctor" sniffed out the drugs and alerted the deputy to its location.   Now, Cedric Shawn Mitchell Payne, 31, of New Orleans, is behind bars, charged with a first degree felony for delivering an illegal substance.
