The City of Longview announces plans to move forward in its branding campaign. This, after a controversial new logo and tagline were unveiled earlier this month. Monday, Mayor Jay Dean said the city has formed a committee called the "branding process review committee." The group will look at the branding process as a whole and see where Longview should go from here.
"Hopefully over the next several weeks to bring forward, a comprehensive strategic plan that is going to share with the community how we intend to continue to move the process forward based on having local control in that process and involving the public in a number of different ways," he says.
Dean says the city still plans to use the research conducted by North Star Destination Strategies, but now wants to bring in local people.
