The Sallie Mae tour bus stopped at John Tyler High School Thursday. It was one of only fifty schools on a nationwide tour.
The bus is decked out with computer's and all of the applications to get the financial aid process started for college.
It's an important lesson for the students, many of whom are the first in their family to try and go to college. Ammie Burkett is a senior.
She says, "I went to Lee before, and they don't have a college and career center. So, you don't really get that help that you do over here, because they do know what they're talking about."
The bus was open all day and two, $250 scholarships were given away in a drawing.
