Gift of Love: Michael Is Hoping To Be A Doctor

At 11 years old, Michael is a polite young man. His foster mom, Linda Frazier, says, "He smiles and has a real good personality. He attaches easily. He's affectionate. He hugs me several times a day and tells me he loves me. He's just a real sweet boy."

And he's a boy who enjoys sports. "I like soccer, football and baseball. I also like to play video games, play golf and go bowling."

Michael is well behaved and gets along with other children, "When he gets upset it doesn't last long. He gets over it very quick," says Linda.

This 4th grader enjoys reading and school. "I'm good at math and English." And, he's got high hopes for his future. "I want to be a doctor."

The only challenge with Michael might be keeping him on task. He's very, very smart and he gets good grades but he needs a lot of help on organization." Something that might be helped with a loving forever family.

Michael has been in foster care more than 3 years. It has been a positive experience giving him a stable environment, and good role models. "Foster care has really been fun because I get to do different things but I do want a forever family."

Linda says, "He wants to have a family. He wants to be in a permanent place. He just wants somebody who will except him and love him." And love him, unconditionally.
