Gunman Robs Family Dollar Store

At approximately 11:31 am, March 14, 2007, Longview Police responded to the Family Dollar store located at 2430 South High Street for a robbery.

According to the initial police report, the suspect displayed a small handgun and demanded all the money from the register.  The clerk complied and put an undisclosed amount of money into a bag.  The suspect then fled on foot running between the Post Office and the Catfish Village restaurant.

The suspect was described as a black male 18-20 years of age, approximately 5'06" to 5'08" in height, dark complexion and wearing black baggy jeans with a pocket on the right pants leg, a black thermal long sleeve shirt with a black short sleeve shirt over it and a light colored ball cap with a gold dollar sign on the front and small dollar signs in different colors on the cap and black tennis shoes.
