More than 100 people took part in the third organized peace march through south Longview. The purpose of the event is to take a stand against violence. City leaders and area clergy joined people from all over Longview at Mount Olive Baptist Church on M.L.K. Blvd. The crowd then made the two-mile walk in south Longview to promote peace and unity. Many see the marches as a building block to making their neighborhoods safe for everyone. More marches are planned for the future.
