High winds and poor workmanship are being blamed for a roof peeling off an apartment building in Longview today. It happened around 3:00 p.m. at the Stone Haven apartments located in the 1,100 block of South High St.
Residents say gusts of wind literally ripped around 200 ft. of tin roof away from one apartment unit, crashing down onto the parking lot.
Residents say the three-year-old roof was poorly constructed and should not have torn away. No one was injured.
