Winona Students Skip TAKS

A small group of East Texas students missed their TAKS tests on Tuesday at Winona ISD. The superintendent says 6 out of the 11 students have not been accounted for, who missed the test. Some students have been upset because their principal, Leland Hand was reassigned.

"The principal was moved into a position he had been with in his prior school district. It was a good move and it was good working relationship and continues to be a good working relationship that I have with him.  He is my assistant, he is the Director of Student Services," says Rodney Fausett, Superintendent, Winona ISD.

Fausett says those students who missed the TAKS test will have another opportunity to take the test.
