Home "Sweet-er" Home For Tyler Woman In Need Of Better Place To Live

Monday afternoon, Cybil Jones got the keys to her new, three bedroom, two bath brick home on North Englewood in Tyler.

It's the same spot her old home used to stand, but was torn down because it was infested with termites, had water damage and walls were caving in.

Miss Jones says she's built a lot of memories in her old home, but is ready to make new ones.

"There's a song we used to sing: count your blessings, name them one by one. I can't count them, I can't count them... too many blessings, I can't count them. But I thank God for them all," says Jones.

This is part of the City of Tyler's Neighborhood Revitalization Program.

Today is Miss Jones' 82nd birthday so the keys to a new house made the perfect gift!
