Two East Texas Witnesses Are Missing

Two East Texas women are missing and a mother claims a former Jacksonville police officer may be to blame. A year ago, Larry Pugh was charged with sexual assault while on duty.  Then 6 months later, he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and retaliation. He plead guilty to these charges back in September. According to KLTV's previous reports Pugh was out on bond during the time these two women went missing.  26 year old Shaunte Coleman of Jacksonville has been missing since July according to a missing persons report filed by her family.  38 year old Terri Reyes of Athens has been missing since May and her mother thinks Pugh had something to do with it.

"I am afraid she is dead to tell you the truth. I'm afraid that maybe him or someone else has done something to her," says Brenda Graham, Terri's mother.

"There is a lot of coincidence there but as far as evidence or proof or connection of them missing and being involved with Larry Pugh.  We don't have any proof or connection with that at this time," says Sergeant Daniel Franklin, Criminal Investigation Division, Jacksonville Police Department.

Franklin say, due to both of the women's lifestyle, they were known to be gone for a week or two at a time. Police also say both women have drug problems. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Coleman call the Jacksonville Police Department or Reyes call the Athens Police Department.
