Wade Wilson's Family Prepares For Super Bowl

He hasn't gotten nearly as much of the attention, but Wade Wilson, like Big Sandy native Lovie Smith, is from East Texas.  Wilson played high school ball in Commerce, and was an all-american quarterback at East Texas state, now Texas A&M Commerce. Wade was also a player and coach with the Cowboys. Wade still has family in East Texas.  His brother David is the General Manager of restaurants at Holly Lake Ranch.  While David won't be going to Miami, their dad and stepmother will. They leave on Friday. Wade's mother and step-father are already on their way. A lot of pride in the Wilson family right now.

"I'm happy for him," said Wade's father Charlie Wilson, "because he's experienced something that so few ever have the opportunity to achieve."

"Not quite as big a hype as it was when Dallas went for Super Bowl XXX when we went out for that one when Wade played for the Cowboys," said his brother David, "but it is quite a bit of excitement going on."

David says he'll be a part of a big crowd out at Holly Lake Ranch Sunday, rooting on Wade and the Bears.
