Tyler Woman Gets Keys To Reconstructed House

It's a dream come true for a Tyler woman when the city handed her a set of keys to her newly reconstructed home.   Frankie Billington purchased her three bedroom house in 1987. Like several homes in the city, Billington's did not meet current city building codes, but she could not afford to fix her house. Through Tyler 21's Rehabilitation Assistance Program, Billington is now able to move into her new home.

"I just had problems," said Frankie Billington of Tyler. "I needed a new roof, and I could never get no help, so I decided to come to the city of Tyler and they helped me. I appreciate them."   The Rehabilitation Assistance Program is available for low income homeowners. This is the city of Tyler's first reconstructed house.
