Smith County Man Gets Life Sentence For Drug Charge
A Tyler man gets life in prison for a drug possession charge.
36 year old Anton Osborn pleaded guilty Monday for having 1.25 grams of cocaine which has a street value of $200.
His charge was upgraded to a first degree felony because of a prior car burglary conviction and the fact that the drug transaction happened near a school. After a little more than an hour deliberation, the jury sentenced him to life in prison which is the maximum punishment.
Osborn also has a sexual assault of a child charge pending.
