Cowboys Season A Success Despite Rough Finish

It's the missed hold heard 'round the world. A play which may come to define the Cowboys season. But is that really fair? And where do the Cowboys go from here? KLTV 7 NFL Analyst Eric Williams says, Cowboys fans, don't dismay. They should have won the NFC East, and they should have beaten the Seahawks in the playoffs. But Eric Williams says, to use Tony Romo as the scapegoat for the heart-breaking ending is entirely unfair.

"What did Romo do," Williams asked?  "It got down to one play that's going to define Romo's season, but it wasn't. It was all the things he did up to the playoffs. They wouldn't... If they did not have Tony Romo, they would not have had that opportunity to kick that field goal."

Which makes the quarterback position the least of the cowboys worries, for a change. Instead, the big offseason question is, will Bill Parcells be back? Eric thinks that has a lot to do with question number two... What about Terrell Owens?

"If bill parcells stays, T.O. is going to have to go," Williams said.  "We could have other receivers with less baggage, with less distraction, that would probably catch as many balls, especially with all the T.O. drops, and enjoy the season a lot more. And if Bill Parcells is going to come back and enjoy football, it's got to be without T.O."

And showing T.O. the door, says Williams, may actually help solve the other Cowboys weaknesses.

"If T.O. is gone," Williams said, "you have a lot more cash. Add some (defensive backs) and an offensive lineman, you know, take the family out to dinner. There's a lot more money to delve out."
