Union Steelworkers Spend Christmas Morning On Picket Line

East Texans fighting for their jobs spent their Christmas morning back out on the picket lines.   Goodyear workers we talked to today say when your on strike, there is no holiday, however, they say friday's tentative agreement to keep the plant open another year makes it a little bit easier.

"We feel like it will be a good Christmas because we feel like they brought us back a contract," said Harold Sweat, Vice President of United Steelworkers Union 746L. "We haven't seen it yet, but we feel like they brought us something that we can live with."

"It feels good because we are walking out here for a cause, and our cause is just about to come to an end," said Lloyd Williams, United Steelworker.  All 12 unions on strike across the nation will vote on the tentative agreement within the next week. If passed, union members will be able to go back to work January 2nd.
