Visit From Santa Claus

Santa Claus came to town. It was a Merry Christmas for some of East Texas children. Santa and Tyler Police Department delivered gifts to the foster children from the Bair Foundation.  The officers donated more than 40 bikes, one for each child.

"These children come from displaced families and it's kind of something to give back to the children. A lot of the times the only experience these kids have with a police officer is a negative experience so we want them to understand we are here for them and that we're people just like they are and we want them to understand anytime that they need us we're here for them," says Sergeant David Hall, Tyler Police Department.

Tyler Police Officers also donated clothes and toys to the children.
