Goodyear Talks To Resume Monday

For the first time since mid-November, Goodyear Tire and the union representing striking workers have set a date to sit down and try to work on their differences.

It's scheduled to happen Monday, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Goodyear has said they are going to close the Tyler plant. But Friday, Jim Wansley, the President of USWA local 746l had this to say. "We're hopeful Goodyear understands we're always willing to go back to the table... They've indicated to us they are willing to move on the issues important to us, and everyone would like to think Goodyear has reached that point."

Both sides have continually disagreed over plans to close the factory in Tyler. That has lead to a strike involving 15 thousand workers nationwide.

This is the second time the union has been called to resume talks.
