Laid-Off Workers Find New Career Opportunities

For the hundreds of workers looking for jobs, after layoffs at Goodyear and Tyler Pipe, the process to find a new career is tough.  But made a little easier today in Tyler.

Nearly 70 employers, thirty from outside the Tyler area, converged at the Rose Garden Center Wednesday.  For those still stunned by the loss of their jobs, the transition is difficult.

Marvin Killingsworth says, after Goodyear closes, good jobs will go fast.

"I'm looking for probably ten or 15 more years of work. I'm retired Army.  I can't sit still so this unemployed part is killing me.  I gotta do something," Hollingsworth says.
