3 Fetuses Found In Dead Woman's Freezer

COLUMBIA, Tenn.(AP) The remains of what have been identified as three human fetuses were discovered in the freezer of a woman who was found dead in her home last month in Columbia.

A family member who was cleaning and moving furniture from the Graymere Apartments discovered the bodies yesterday in a bag while cleaning out the freezer.

Detective Lieutenant Michelle Jones says the ages and causes of deaths will be determined in an autopsy expected to be done tomorrow by state Medical Examiner Bruce Levy.

Jones told The Associated Press today the cold conditions do "certain things to the flesh" and says it's hard to know the ages now. But the detective said they weren't "nine-pound babies," but were smaller in stature.

The body of 35-year-old Tracy Howard was found dead in her apartment November 28th after co-workers became concerned when she didn't come to work.

Jones says Howard's death appeared to be natural.
