Two Longview area restaurants are singled out for excellence over a year period, and awarded blue ribbons. A commitment to quick service and cleanliness is a standard at Domino's Pizza at 315 West Marshall Avenue. In a high volume food business, they consistently were found to be spotlessly clean by inspectors. And with no violations for 4 consecutive inspection periods over the year , they've earned the KLTV 7 Blue Ribbon Award.
Deb's Downtown Cafe at 103 West Tyler has been a popular destination for the lunch crowd, owner Deborah Bolton's meticulous attention to detail earned her first Blue Ribbon Award.
"It's just such and honor, I never thought we'd get one of these" she said.
Bolton says there really is "no trick" to it, just good habits and good people.
"It's real easy you just do what you need to do you run by the rules you have to have your help have to have good employees, it's not just coming into a restaurant and getting food, it's caring" says Bolton.
A little hard work and attention to detail is their formula for success.
