Drive-By Shooting Leaves Tyler Family Unharmed

It happened late Tuesday night around 11:15 p.m at a residence on the west end of E. Gold Street. That's just a couple blocks north of Gentry Parkway in Tyler.

The aftermath: multiple bullet holes through the home's window and siding.

All five members of the Lopez family were home when it happened but surprised they were the target of this kind of violence.

"Thank God none of my family was hurt. I don't understand why this would happen, we have no problems with anybody," says homeowner Jaime Tovar-Lopez.

Tyler police have recovered shell casings on the scene and plan to input them in a database to see if they match bullets found at other crime scenes.
