Pickup Truck Runs Into Fire Station

An East Texas fire station suffers thousands of dollars in damage after a pickup truck loses control and flies into it. There's now a huge hole in the front of the White Oak Fire Department's station.

The Fire Chief says around midnight Wednesday night, a pickup truck lost control, hitting the tree in front of the station and then flipping over, landing literally at the station's front door.

The Fire Marshal's office and two fire trucks were also damaged.

"I couldn't believe it, it was just I just I couldn't I'd never seen anything like it.  We're thankful that a fire didn't ensue you know we had gasoline all in the station, all in the driveway and around the vehicles," says Fire Chief Jim Nall.

No one was in the fire station at the time. But the pickup truck's driver and a passenger were transported to the hospital for injuries.
