7 weeks into the strike, Tempers flared tonight outside the Tyler Goodyear Plant. A picketing steelworker was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a worker trying to leave the plant.

The union worker hit, identified as Kenneth Robbins was treated and released, but told KLTV 7  he severely sprained his shoulder.

Workers say the driver of the car was 1 of 2 workers who have crossed the picket line at Goodyear since the strike began.

Company officials released a statement about the incident. They say they are cooperating with law enforcement, but at this time they do not expect any criminal charges to be filed.

Police are talking tonight to other workers who witnessed the incident.
