One Killed In Fuel Tanker Crash

A man driving a fuel tanker was killed early this morning in a fiery wreck near downtown Dallas.

37-year-old Charles Luckey, of Garland, was driving the tanker when it struck a car abandoned on the side of a freeway.

The tanker had been carrying gasoline, causing it to ignite along with the car. The truck veered off I-30 and some of the gasoline it was carrying leaked into the septic system.

Interstate 30 was temporarily closed while the wreckage was cleared.

Police at the scene said they didn't think anyone was in the abandoned car when it was hit.
