4 Longview Restaurants Fail To Measure Up On Inspections

     4 Longview area restaurants were hit with the most serious violations in the latest inspection report by the Longview Health Department, including "New Way" at 4306 West Marshall. 11 violations were found in an October 26th inspection. There was evidence of rodent infestation, hot and cold foods were held out of temperatures, and garbage was not disposed of. They scored a "D".

      9 violations were found in an October 23rd inspection of "La Michoacana"  at 1419 South Green Street. Cross contamination of raw and cooked foods was found, stored foods were not protected, and food prep areas were uncleaned. They scored a "C".

      Inspected November 4th, the "Cotton Patch Cafe" at 1228 McCann Street had 8 violations. Utensils were not sanitized, food prep areas were uncleaned and cold foods were held at unsafe temperatures. They scored a "C".

    And the "Waffle House" at 318 East Loop 281 had 7 violations in a November 9th inspection. Food contact surfaces were uncleaned, hygienic violations were found and hot and cold foods were out of temperature. They scored a "C".
