Manhunt On After Truck Rams Into Marshall Police Car

Marshall police are looking for a man, they say, assaulted a police officer early Thursday with his truck. Police say after attempting to stop a reckless driver, the truck took off, leading to a high speed chase. Then suddenly the driver slammed on his brakes, put the vehicle in reverse and rammed into the officer's vehicle.

Police believe the driver was Christopher Clark, 25, of Marshall. They need your help finding him, but they want to warn you, he is considered armed and dangerous.

The officer was not seriously injured, but was transported to a local hospital last night.

Sergeant Patrick Clayton with the Marshall Police Department says, "Officer Smith is at home right now on light duty, pending release from the doctor for medical release for injury to his hand he sustained during the incident when the airbag blew out and deployed on him."

Two warrants are out for Christopher Clark's arrest--he is being charged with "Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer," and "Evading Arrest with a Vehicle."

If you have any information about his whereabouts, contact the Marshall Police Department immediately.
