One Restaurant Has Rodent Problem, Many Others Perfect

Donut Palace at 700 Highway 79 North in Henderson was inspected Nov. 3.

Rodent dropping was found in two areas of the restaurant.  Also, ham tested at 58°; should be 41° or colder. Croissants tested at 73°; should be 140° or hotter.  Food was not properly labeled and a sink would not drain properly.

There were seven violations labeled critical, earning Donut Palace a letter grade of "C".

On a recheck Nov. 7 (four days later), a sink was clogged, adequate soap or towels were needed, and rodent droppings were still seen, as were roaches.  Pest control had been administered the day before the recheck.

There were five violations labeled critical, and the letter grade was again, "C".  A further recheck has been ordered, but is not yet on file.
