Local Orthodontist Wants Your Candy, And They'll Pay For It
Going through your candy, and sampling it all, is something children look forward to every Halloween, but not all that sticky and chewy candy is good for you, especially if you have braces. A local orthodontist is offering to buy candy for $1, per pound to prevent the number of problems caused by eating candy.
"We see a lot of breakage," said Lindsey Hill, Orthodontist Assistant for Reuland Orthodontics. A lot of brackets coming off, a lot of wires poking out and cavities. You can get quite a bit of cavities after Halloween just because of the late night trick or treating and eating candy."
You can drop your candy off at Reuland Orthodontics at 3603 Old Jacksonville Highway starting Wednesday and again on Thursday and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.
