Incentive Pay Awarded To Some Tyler ISD Teachers

Some East Texas teachers will get a bonus. Tyler ISD is giving teachers, who are at campus' that met district, state or improvement criteria, incentive pay. Its part of the Rewards For Success Pay Scale that gives out more than $600,000 to employees. Some of the teachers awarded work at Austin Elementary.

"I'm very proud of our teachers, they worked very hard last year to have our students perform successfully on the TAKS administration.  They worked after school and on Saturday's tutoring students," says Carolyn Williams, Principal at Austin Elementary.

Here is the complete list.

Met District Criteria:

Caldwell Arts Academy: professional employees will receive $1,500 each and paraprofessionals will receive $750 each.

Met State Criteria:

Austin Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,150 each and paraprofessionals will receive $575 each.

Bell Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,000 each and paraprofessionals will receive $500 each.

Clarkston Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,000 each and paraprofessionals will receive $500 each.

Dixie Elementary:  professional employees will receive $1,000 each and paraprofessionals will receive $500 each.

Jones Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,150 each and paraprofessionals will receive $575 each.

Owens Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,000 each and paraprofessionals will receive $500 each.

Ramey Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,150 each and paraprofessionals will receive $575 each.

Rice Elementary: professional employees will receive $1,000 each and paraprofessionals will receive $500 each.

Moore MST Magnet School:  professional employees will receive $1,000 each and paraprofessionals will receive $500 each.

Improvement Criteria for Overall Gain in TAKS Scores:

Griffin Elementary:  professional employees will receive $780 each and 17 paraprofessionals will receive $390 each.

Douglas Elementary: professional employees will receive $575 each and paraprofessionals will receive $287.50 each.
