Good Shepherd Hosts Fundraising Event

It was a night of fun, food, and fundraising for Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. The hospital held its annual "Gold Rush" event, which included numerous restaurant vendors, a silent auction and a raffle for a brand new pick-up truck.

Organizers say it's all in an effort to raise money for their new wellness center. It will provide clinical services like cardiac rehabilitation, sports medicine and speech therapy.

"It's going to be a wonderfully community, medically integrated wellness center with the objective for rehab and prevention and a better health in this community and in East Texas," said Good Shepherd Health Systems C.E.O. Jerry Adair.

For more than 20 years, the event has raised million of dollars for Good Shepherd, allowing the hospital to provide more services.
