Longview Restaurants Have Trouble In Latest Health Inspections

       4 Longview area restaurants received the most serious violations in the latest round of inspections by the Longview Health Department, including Dairy Queen at 4101 Gilmer Road. Inspected October 2nd, 8 violations were found, cold foods were out of temperature, there were hygienic violations and stored foods were not properly protected. They scored a "C".

     7 violations were found in a September 28th inspection of Mccann Street Grill at 1217 Mccann Road. Food contact surfaces were unsanitary , there was cross contamination of raw and cooked foods, and cold foods were held at unsafe temperatures. After reinspection they scored a "B".

           Chen's at 1021 Mccann Road had 7 violations in a September 13th inspection. Stored foods were not properly protected, food prep areas were not sanitized, and hot foods were unsafe temperatures. After reinspection they scored a "B".

     And 7 violations were found in an October 9th inspection of China King Buffet at 440 West Loop 281. There was improper thawing of foods, uncleaned food contact surfaces and cold foods held at unsafe temperatures. After reinspection they scored a 'B".
