Starving Horses Rescued In Titus County

Ribs, very prominent, horses discovered, seemingly starving on a piece of land in Titus County. The Sheriff's Department received a call about this yesterday. They answered the call 4 miles north of Winfield, Texas. Once they got there they discovered one horse, already dead,  and 6 emaciated horses, some barely able to stand.

One horse had a mortal wound and had to be put down. The remaining horses have been awarded to the custody of Safe Haven Equine Rescue Farms. Criminal charges are being sought against the horse owners, who live in Dallas.
