Award Winning Actress Stops In Tyler

An Academy Award winning actress stopped in Tyler tonight to support the Tyler Museum of Art.  Actress Geena Davis is known for her roles in films like A League of Their Own, but she is also an advocate for women in the art. Davis assisted the museum tonight in the 2006 Little Black Dress event, which helps raise money for the museum through an auction.

"I care so much about women and supporting women and their issues, and I you know I read all about the museum and heard a lot about it, and I was really excited to come and see it," said Davis.

Tonight's event also honored Amy Faulconer, a woman who has played significant roles at the museum for more than 20 years.
