Two Restaurants Have Significant Violations on Inspections

King's Wok at 1644 S. Jackson in Jacksonville was inspected Oct. 4.  Fish, chicken and rice tested at 45-49°, should be 41° or below.  No hand sanitizer available between primary handwashing and handling customers' food.  Thermometers needed in cooler, and clean plates needed to be used when customers return to the buffet.

Total demerits: 15.  No recheck ordered.

Hondo and Shorty's Burger Place on Highway 69 North near Bullard was inspected Oct. 4.  Dishes were being stored in a handsink against health regulations.  There was no sanitizer used in dishwasher rinse, and flies were seen on utensils and flatware.

Total demerits: 14.  No recheck ordered.
