Tyler Police Need Help With Rash Of Commercial Burglaries

A rash of commerical burglaries has Tyler police asking for the publics help.   The most recent happened sometime over the weekend at RPR contstruction located on the South Southeast loop in Tyler.   Police tell us thieves cut the fence to get to the service trucks. That's when, thousands of dollars worth of tools were taken out of the boxes located on the trucks. Police say it happened to about eight other businesses. Now they need your help.

"If they see any suspicious activity where they see people up close to fenced in areas late at night, they need to contact the police department," said Officer Don Martin, Tyler Police Department. "Any vehicles that were parked with its lights off, or people sitting in cars during times when commerical businesses are closed, they need to contact us."   At this time, police say they do not have any leads. The burglaries have been going on for the past two months and occur at night.
