KLTV Offers Free Child ID's

When a child goes missing, quick access to good photographs and descriptions of them can make all the difference.

That's why KTLV 7 is teaming up with Tyler Pipe at the East Texas State Fair to provide you and your family with free, high tech child ID cards. This doesn't happen until next week, but the new technology is pretty neat.

DigiKids will be providing the ID cards this year. In addition to a traditional ID card of your child, you also get a quick response CD-ROM that works in any computer, and can transfer all of your child's information to law enforcement in a matter of seconds.

Sheila Billigsley with KLTV says, "There are over 2,000 children missing a day in the United States of America. This digital technology gives law enforcement the quick information they need to get the child back home.

KLTV 7 and Tyler Pipe will be offering free DigiKids ID's at the East Texas State Fair on Front Street. The ID event runs next Tuesday through Friday only from 6:00 to 9:00 each night.
